We hold many Fundraising events in the local community. It is through fundraising that we are able to help and support people and organisations in the local and international community. Our fundraising activities take a degree of organisation and time, but are always extremely rewarding and very often great fun.

Last Night at the Proms February 2017
The Rotary Club of Towcester and Sponne School were delighted to welcome so many guests to Whittlebury Hall on Sunday evening January 22nd for the latest Last Night of the Proms concert.
The students of Sponne School once again shone with their incredible talent demonstrating technical abilities both with instruments and vocally that would appear to be beyond their years – but which they performed with confidence and excellence.
We also mustn’t forget Kidlington Brass for making the evening complete.
Catherine underwood – Musical Director and Deputy Head at Sponne was delighted with the evening.
The funds raised from the evening will be split between the Rotary Charity account and used to support their many local activities; and Sponne School where the monies will go towards the travel expenses of the Sponne Musicians and Choir as they travel the country competing in National tournaments.
Finally, the Rotary Club would just like to say a huge “thank you” to the general public without whose endless support they would not be able to hold such events.
So… until the next Proms!
FI Grand Prix weekend – VIP drivers July 2016
This weekend at the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix, the Rotary Club of Towcester provided the VIP chauffeurs for all attendees arriving at the event by helicopter.
Armed with a fleet of cars, The Rotary Club of Towcester collected guests as they arrived at the heliport and took them to their hospitality suites, as well as operating a shuttle service between the various hospitality locations. Besides the actual driving, the work also entailed a lot of co-ordination and team-work, which was done via walkie-talkies and a centralised reception area.
In return for providing this service over the three-day period, Silverstone Helicopters kindly donates an amount of money to the Rotary Club of Towcester’s charity fund, which enables the club to carry out many of its charitable activities in the local area.
The Rotary Club of Towcester has been providing this service for over 20 years now and although hard work, the Rotarians, their families and friends relish being part of this spectacular sporting event, so important, not only to the UK but also to the local economy.
