Where we donated our money in 2016 to 2017

The Rotary Club of Towcester raises money from a variety of sources and events which it then spends on various charitable causes in the following year. It is the policy of the Club to make that expenditure public. The Rotary Year runs from the 1st July in one year to the last day of June in the next year. In addition to the items belwo, the Club also spent monies on organising the many Youth Competitions and Young Carers events throughout the year.

£1,180 Shelter Box Shelter boxes provide living accommodation and daily living equipment for 10 people. (2 boxes)
£275 Towcester Town Football Club Purchase of kits for the under 8’s
£1,600 LEC Part of the cost of renting in a specialist mobile teaching facility dealing with the promotion of healthy living and in particular avoiding the use of elicit  substances
£1,000 William Blake House 24/7 Residential Care Home for severely handicapped people
£2,972 Sponne School Funds raised via the Proms
£500 DISC Sports Club based in Towcester for disabled people and their families
£500 Provision Asia Indian Charity helping the handicapped have a better life
£700 Calvert Trust The sponsoring of one disabled person from Towcester to sped a week at the Calvert Trust centre in the Lakes
£650 RYLA Sponsoring one youth to attend a one week Young Leadership Course
£500 Towcester Softball Team Funds to help provide a new net for the team
