Silverstone School Greenhouse project

The Rotary Club of Towcester was delighted today to officially hand over the Greenhouse which it has donated to Silverstone C.E Primary School, in Silverstone.

Set within the grounds of the new school – the Greenhouse will be an educational and practical resource to the school – bringing enjoyment to both students and staff and hopefully inspiring the learning of new gardening/horticultural skills.

Headteacher James Bloomfield is greatly appreciative of this new resource and says: “Thank you for the wonderful generosity of the Rotary Club of Towcester.  Our new greenhouse is amazing and will be used and enjoyed by so many children”.

In addition to the Greenhouse, the Rotary Club of Towcester has also donated some seeds which were generously donated by the Tesco store in Towcester.

President Andrea Lord say: “Our Club is absolutely thrilled with the enthusiasm of the Silverstone children and teachers. We are very proud to have been able to build and donate this greenhouse to the school from our fundraising endeavours and we are really looking forward to seeing what the children of Silverstone School grow in the next 12 months”.
