Brina Johnson (A level student) and Cody Rickard (GCES level student) at Sponne School were the proud winners of Rotary’s local heat of the Young Designer Competition 2016. Besides winning a cash prize – Brina and Cody will now also compete in Rotary 1070 District finals to be held at DeMontfort University on June 18th. They will be up against the local winners from 38 other schools in the 1070 Rotary District and on the day there will be a 1st prize amongst the A level students and one for the GCSE students.

In addition, this year the DeMontfort University will select one of the 1st prize winners to be privileged to work with a Mentor at the University with the objective of taking their product to market.

The Rotary Club of Towcester are very proud of the level of technical ability shown by all the students at Sponne School and wish both Brina and Cody much luck in the District finals.
